Here at Redmon, we have over 30 years of experience working with transit websites to design and develop their websites. From ART, to DASH, to VRE; we have created websites that are user-friendly, accessible and with user experience in mind. Also, we develop transit websites with the mobile-first approach.
Below are some of the projects we have worked on, or currently working.
CommuterDirect
Redmon created a one-stop shopping site for CommuterDirect; along with administrative tools and reports for management of employee transit benefits. Also, a secure management system and database that handles product and account management, payment, inventory tracking and more.
Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC)
We designed and developed two web systems for the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) : an Itinerary Management System (IMS) and a microsite template. In addition, System administrators are able to save custom itineraries for use on the microsites. Consequently, this helps promote the new stations in Richmond’s downtown area.
Virginia Railway Express (VRE)
Redmon integrated the organization's website with already-existing back-office solutions resulting in a website that keeps riders up to date on news, train arrival information, and parking lot capacity. Also, developed and deployed a state-of-the-art website. Our team authored a CMS online forum module that administers questions and user feedback. In addition, we integrated mobile-friendly maps to provide riders a live view of train locations, status, and arrival times from anywhere on any screen.
OmniRide
Redmon Group programmed and hosts the OmniRide website for PRTC. Partnering with SIR Consulting, we transitioned the website from a non-responsive designed, static website to a responsive, CMS-backed website. Consequently, Redmon is now able to update the website with new functionality using customized or third-party CMS add-ons. In addition, Redmon's support package with OmniRide includes: server monitoring, software updates, ADA audits, and SEO health checks.
Car-Free Near Me
This app was designed for residents, those who work in Arlington, and visitors to travel the County without a car. The app contains transportation information for Metrorail, Metrobus, Arlington Transit-ART. In addition, the app’s responsive design allows optimized use on desktop computers, mobile devices, and kiosks.
Other transit companies we developed websites, or worked on updating their websites are GTrans, Dulles Metro, DASH, among others. On the other hand, we also have vast experience with museums, restaurants and other companies. Also, check out the Web Development page for more projects we have worked on.
